Over the years we’ve built a solid team and workforce with some staff that have been with us for over 25 years. This is because we offer a work environment that’s friendly, happy and where our employees feel like part of the family.
We invest time and energy into our team by offering onsite training. We employ with career progression in mind and don’t overlook anyone who has the correct work ethic to ensure they’re fulfilled in their day to day work which helps us to maintain a family feel throughout the whole company.
Our family workforce has expanded progressivly over the last 8 years as we now employ over 100 members of staff. We started out with just 4 trade depots back in 1997 and now have 15+ trade counters across the country; Nottinghamshire, Lincolnshire, Leicestershire, Yorkshire, Staffordshire and Greater Manchester, all with a sizable sales team highly qualified at doing what they do.

Russ Skellett
Founder
Russ founded and built Tru Plastics limited from the ground up. Sadley, Russell passed away in 2022 but his legacy inspires us day by day.
Ken Skellett
Ken and his wife Evelyn are the backbone of the business. Ken fits new branches out personally and enjoys being on the tools delivering materials to clients first thing in the morning.
Evelyn Skellett
Evelyn looks after all aspects of the business - everything but not limited to I.T, Stationary, workware and accounts. Without Ken and Evelyn, the business would not be where it is today.
Yvette Roberts
Yvette runs the financial side of the business making sure the accounts are in order and credit control is on point.

Michelle is part of our Procurement team who are driven in finding the right products at the right price to make us a force within our industry.

Head of Internal Sales
David joined us in 2019, he is responsible for the internal sales team, David has a wealth of expertise in sales and is enjoying growing positive results heading up his team.

Area Sales Manager
Brett is down-to-earth and customer-focused. He handles pricing, technical details, product info, and account support within Ilkeston, Langley Mill, and Mansfield.

Tim is responsible for the external sales out of our Leeds, Donaster, Sheffield and Chesterfield Depots - Tim forms fantastic relationships with his client's whilst offering a unique level of service.
Kieran Atkinson
Area Sales Manager
Kieran joined TruSeal in 2021 and quickly advanced to Depot Manager. He values strong customer relations and consistently enhances branch performance. Kieran now oversees Boston & Lincoln areas.
Ross Pearce
Area Sales Manager
Formerly Depot Manager at Langley Mill and Loughborough, Ross's dedication and expertise earned him a well-deserved promotion to Area Sales Manager for Loughborough, Hinckley & Stafford.
David Maybank
Area Sales Manager
David is a longtime TruSeal team member with extensive industry experience and knowledge. He assists customers within Leeds, Manchester, and Doncaster.

A sales representative will be personally assigned to you, ready to cover all your trade needs and requirements. They’ll arm you with marketing materials and brochures that will help you pinpoint your house build products. We’ll also support you by delivering onsite or to whichever premises suits you best.

Typical Working hours: Our working hours are usually 7.30am until 4.30pm, but our sales reps and branch managers often work out of hours to answer calls and emails, we are one of the few companies that can be contacted 365 days a year 24/7.

I originally started at TruSeal Mansfield in 2020 as an apprentice and have worked myself up into a manager’s position up here at Doncaster.
Before I started at Tru, I worked as a steel welder/fabricator, making a variety of skips and clothing banks. At Tru, I enjoy the people the most. Everyone is extremely welcoming, and it genuinely is like being part of a family.
Outside of work, I spend a lot of my time around cars. From long drives to taking them to pieces to fix and/or modify them.
As the manager at TruSeal Doncaster, I have a very core focus to try to make this branch as streamlined as I can, so daily practice can run as smooth as possible. In which, would provide a better service for incoming customers.

I’ve been with TruSeal Stafford for nearly 7 years now having previously worked in business development selling a number of various products.
Being at Tru was my first experience of working within this industry and I never thought I would enjoy it as much as I do.

Before joining seal service I worked for a builders merchants in Long Eaton where I was the yard manager, I was there for 10 years learning a lot about the building trade.
I started here as a driver and over time covered many roles in the depot before being made up to manager 28 years ago, we have a great team who try and go the extra mile to please our customers, some have come to be like friends outside of work as well.

Since the time I started we’ve transformed the trade counter and expanded our range of goods and services whilst maintaining a consistency of service and quality for our customers.

My career started in the family business, where I took on various roles before moving to a well-known trade company. This gave me the opportunity to gain hands-on experience across a range of product lines, including drainage supplies.
Over the years, I progressed through different depot management positions, eventually joining TruSeal Plastics. Starting at the Trade Counter, I worked my way up to Assistant Depot Manager. After nearly a decade of dedication and growth, I was promoted to Branch Manager.
Leading TruSeal Hinckley into a new chapter is something I take great pride in. With extensive knowledge of building plastics and roofing products, including rubber roofing, I’m committed to driving the business forward.

Albert has been a TruSeal Plastics team member since April 2021, originally starting as a driver. Previously worked as a hat tub engineer.
I focused on increasing sales and running the branch with the same professionalism as my predecessor. There's a lot of variety in my role which a really enjoy, as welll as the sense of community in being part of a family business.
In my spare time, I enjoy boating on the Norfolk Broads. I was diagnosed with cancer in August 2024, and the company’s support and sympathy during that time were deeply appreciated.
